Case 2
This Rorabeck II, OTA 33-A1 fracture had been treated 3 months before by retrograde nailing. The patient presented with pain, valgus misalignement and displaced distal locking bolts.
After implant removal a mini open procedure with interfragmentary compression by a lag screw through the NCB plate was performed. The patient was allowed weight bearing after surgery
Six months after surgery, the fracture healed but the interfragmentary lag screw broke in the mean time probably due to the early full weight bearing
