Approach
In this two part spiral fractures classified as OTA type 32 A1 the mini-open technique has been used as an alternative to the completely open approach. An incision is made that is sufficiently long to expose the fracture region in order to allow for a direct reposition and restoration of axis and rotation with forceps and cerclage wires.
